The Ugly Reality

"Too bad, because we aren't attracted to you!" said Eric Shaw in a loud reply. The boys around him started laughing and added their own insults. "Skank, bitch, dog, dike" were all words of torment that flew from the mouths of the boys, followed by the group laughing and pointing. One might surmise that Jon, in her just a bit like Karyn look, was not very attractive. This did little to console Jon. She had been victimized as a boy for being small and nerdish, now she was just out and out insulted and vilified for being a girl that didn't meet somebody else's' standards. Jon was hurt and hurt deeply. She flew from the store on a dead run with a scarlet face of embarrassment that was covered with tears of sorrow. She made it home quickly. There she found her mother had left a note saying she would be gone for the afternoon. Jon searched frantically for the rock.
