Not Just a Name Change

Chaz hesitantly walked out onto the field. She couldn't believe the situation she was in. She had to stay in line with what Becky wanted for an entire *month*. Despite that, she would forever be a girl. Becky didn't realize that wishes couldn't be reversed. Fortunately Chaz did, but that information only comes in handy if she had the stone in her possession. Right now, the stone was back in that locker. Jonnie and Karyn looked over at Chaz and smiled. "Hi, Charlotte," Karyn said. Becky came out onto the field just in time to hear Karyn's greeting. "Karyn, why did you call her that?" she asked. There was no way anyone could know her, right? She was the product of a wish. She was *really* Chaz. "Because that's her *name*," Jonnie said. "How do you know what her name is?" Another girl named Ashley approached. She was wondering why Becky was acting so weird. "We've known Charlotte for years." "But, she's actually Chaz," Becky said to herself. However it was loud enough that Karyn and Ashley heard her. "Who's Chaz?" Ashley asked. Becky was shocked. Ashley had dated Chaz at least half a dozen times. "Charles Thomas," she said. "Thomas?" Ashley said. "Well, that's Charlotte's last name." Becky had no idea what was going on. How could everyone just forget Chaz, but remember Charlotte as if she had always existed? Chaz (or rather Charlotte) was standing nearby. She knew all about the limitations and workings of the stone, so she wasn't surprised by any of this. But that didn't help the fact that she knew nothing about herself in this new reality where she was always a girl.
