Karyn looked at me worriedly. "Are you okay, Jon?" I shivered and quickly replaced the stone in its box before I said something else dangerous. "I think so, Karyn." A quick look at myself didn't show any signs of anything different about me. "How do I look?" Karyn sighed in relief. "Just like you always do, a bit messy." "Very funny." I sighed too. "Guess I just wanted to be me." Karyn nodded. "Good thing you never wanted to be anything else." I chuckled. "That's funny, just last night I was thinking about what it would be like to fly like a -" ----------------------------------------------------- Jon was uttering his sentence one moment, and then next I watched a look of surprise cross his face as his lips start pushing out into a beak, changing to a dull yellow color. He started to shrink within his clothes as his head become paler, covered with white feathers. In a few moments, a bald eagle was thrashing inside Jon's t-shirt and making angry screams. "Jon! Stop wanting to be a bird!" I shouted, but the eagle just glared at me and screamed again. I felt a shiver as I realized that an eagle would probably just keep wanting to be an eagle if it had forgotten it was Jon. I dropped my stuff to the ground and grabbed the box with the stone in it. Opening it up, I grabbed the stone tightly. "I wish that... Jon wouldn't want to be anything I didn't want him to be!" I was forced to look away from the eagle as the wish took hold, and then I looked back. "I don't want you to want to be an eagle!" The eagle paused as it thrashed in what was quickly becoming a ripped up t-shirt, then started to change.
