As Jon continued to think about what had happened to Karyn, and that he was left the Stone by his grandfather, he wondered who had used it before, and had they ever made a mistake. Thinking about it more and more, Jon decided he wanted to know, but had to be very careful how he presented this question to the stone in the form of a wish. If he did it wrong, he could accidentally inherit all of the past bad wishes, or worse get sent back in time to live someone else's life. After writing it out and editing it a few times, Jon finally came up with the best wording and read it aloud. "I wish..."
