"Jon's up!" Zoe exclaimed. "I'm gonna go check on him! Her! Whatever!" Zoe sped out of the kitchen with so much speed her slippers were sliding on the tile floor. Her exuberance left her mother, Linda, feeling terribly suspicious. Zoe rarely got excited about anything and never about her family. With rapid thuds, her legs pounding up the stairs like a steam locomotive, Zoe made tracks to Jon's bedroom. Her mind was flying with excitement. "I have a sister! She's going to be a gorgeous goth girl! And so will I!" were some of the thoughts racing through Zoe's mind as she slid to a stop in front of the door to Jon's bedroom. Zoe opened the door with a wholly uncharacteristic sickeningly saccharine voice calling out, "Good morning dear sister!" But that isn't quite how it went. It was more like, "Good morning dear si-HOLY SHITTING FERRET BALLS!" Linda was taking a sip of her coffee as she heard Zoe yell and, for the second time that morning, listened as one of her children thudded to the floor insensate.

Ah Gawd, that made me laugh out loud! Poor Zoe. Is Aiko still around or has she left for Japan? This is going to cause psychological stress for them both until they can be together

Also, being Goth isn't genetic, it's cosmetic so Zoe would have been disappointed anyway, unless she could use the Psychic bond to influence the Zoefied Jon to trying out the Goth look. I am enjoying your contributions though, keep 'em coming, it encourages me to write more knowing how much of a kick folks get out of this.

Aiko is still around, at least in my version of events. If she weren't I'd be writing myself into a corner pretty hard given the stone's range limitation. Also, thanks for the compliment. =-)

I was thinking about this but forgot to address it when I first replied. I feel it is a question of Nature vs. Nurture but in this case we have both. John's nature would have changed to match Zoe's; maybe not 100% but probably 80%+. Genetics influences everything. With Zoe manipulating him along the proper lines I don't doubt he would become a Goth Girl. If he'd contracted it as an adult with a more firmly developed identity the odds would start swinging against Zoe but as a teenager going through massive changes I don't see much resistance being mounted.

I've been thinking about this and I am inclined to agree, especially as I intend on playing with this idea in my Zoe branch ( given her twin and her lover are both Goth that is going to seriously influence Chloe)
