Samantha Makes a Wish

Samantha scowled as she saw Matt go with Sandy. She was once the most popular girl in school and she desperately wanted to date Matt. It was an insult that some *guy* took the boy she wanted. This had to stop. She glowered, then looked down. There on the floor was a strange-looking stone. She picked it up and looked closely at it. No, it was just a normal stone. She wasn't sure why she thought it was anything else. She looked back at Matt. He was further down the hall by then, and still with Sandy. Rage and jealousy bubbled up within Samantha again. And without thinking too much about it, she made a wish, not realizing that the stone she was holding would make it come true. "I wish ..."
