Empathy Device: Jon Doesn't Remember

"Jon?" Karyn/Athena asked, walking towards him. "Do you know what this is and what it did?" she asked, holding out the empathy device. Jane/Jon looked at it and said "No, what is it?" Karyn/Athena slumped. Somehow, some knowledge was missing. In this case, some very important knowledge. "Do either of you know where Karyn is?" Jane/Jon asked. "She was gonna meet me here and then we were gonna head off to the mall." "The mall, ugh," Zoe said. "Yes, the mall, Zoe. You know, where *normal* people go?" It looked like Zoe was going to say something, but Karyn/Athena said something first. "I know where she is," she lied. She needed to keep Jon from doing anything drastic with his mother's body. Just until the three hours were up. "I'll take you to her." "Athena?" Zoe asked. "What are you doing? I thought we were going to the club? And after that nightmare of an experience I just went through, I kind of need it." "What experience?" Jane/Jon asked. "This is more important," Karyn/Athena told Zoe.
