The Chip Stone: Athena DeVries

"Where'd this come from?" Athena asked, bending down and picking up the stone. Athena DeVries was the best friend of Jon's Goth sister Zoe. The moment she entered Zoe's house (they planned on walking to school together), she sensed that there was something magical in the vicinity. Over the last couple of years, she had discovered that she was sensitive to these sorts of things, which helped fuel her interest in the occult. "Athena, what the hell are you doing?" Zoe asked. "That's Jon's room. My room's over here." "Yeah, I know that," Athena said, pulling Jon's bedroom door closed. "I just sensed something." "Not again," Zoe said, rolling her eyes. Zoe may have been into the whole Goth scene, but Athena still hadn't made her a believer in the occult. Athena sighed. "Let's just go, okay?" "Fine," Zoe said, grabbing her stuff and then heading down the stairs. Athena looked at the stone. She knew it was magical. She could feel the magic radiating from it right now. But why was it in Zoe's brother's room? Where did it come from? "Athena! What the fuck are you doing up there? Come on!" Zoe yelled from downstairs. Athena sighed, then walked downstairs to join her friend.
