Fixing

Characters routinely make wishes which can be easily fixed, or at least have very obvious ways to try fixing them. Bonus points if they say things "I tried for years and I couldn't fix it". The flip side is when someone fixes a wish by a method that's too good--if it works it would let them fix anything, but the writer probably doesn't want a story in which they can fix anything.
