"Don't worry, Karyn. I'll have you back to normal in no time at all." Jon aimed the device at her and pulled the trigger. In an instant, she was back to normal: green T-shirt and blue jeans. No longer a Goth. Sadness came over her face as she ran to Jon. She hugged him. "I'm so sorry, Jon. I ... I ..." He held her. "It's okay. You couldn't control yourself." "I tried. I really did. But it was so hard to resist." "It's okay. You're okay now," he said, reassuring her. She pulled back from him and he saw that she was crying. He smiled. Not because she was crying, but because he had his friend back. And *that* was something to smile about.
