Role Reversal: Escaping Certain Doom?

"Jon, let's get out of here," Karyn suggested. "Good idea," Jon said, turning around and grabbing for the door they just exited through. "Where the fuck are you going?" Biff asked, approaching them. When Jon grabbed for the door, though, he realized that it could only be opened from the *inside*. He had never used that exit before, so he didn't know that. "We can't get back in this way," Jon said. "Let's go this way, then," Karyn said, pulling him towards a better-lit area. Jon glanced over his shoulder and noticed Biff being joined with another Goth boy. Jon wasn't sure, but he thought the boy's name was Trevor. Once they got to the well-lit area, they felt relieved, as if they had just escaped certain doom. Although, had they? Jon's own sister used to be Goth (before his wish) and he never felt that way around *her*. But for some reason, with Biff it was different. Maybe because he was a guy? They waited next to the main entrance for Zoe to came out with her friends.
