Gym Class

Jon's next class was gym. They were doing basketball, so it would all be indoors. Usually Sarah would be in this class, but she was currently in the office, probably being scolded for her behavior. Jon felt a little sorry for her. The original Sarah had *never* been picked on before, so it was weird to see her getting the bad treatment, even though in the normal reality *she* would be the one picking on the Goths and geeks and general losers (or who she thought were losers). Jon wondered what was happening in the principal's office. If he had the stone with him, he could have just made a wish. So instead he'd have to rely on what other people heard. Pete, a friend of Jon's, told him that Sarah might get suspended. When Jon asked him about Kyla, Pete replied "Yeah, right. Kyla would never get suspended. She's too popular." Then with a whisper, he said "I've heard that she sleeps with the assistant principal. It's only a rumor, but it's not hard to believe. She really is a slut, you know?" Jon nodded. "No talking, people," the gym teacher said. "Get back to shooting hoops." They stopped talking and went back to playing basketball.
