Pink Ribbon: Sometimes the One You Call Doesn't Answer

Brandon jolted awake, disoriented for a second. He must have nodded off. It was nearly 4 in the morning. He'd slept for hours. He brushed his hair out of his eyes, his mind slowly reassembling the events of the previous afternoon. He looked down, suddenly remembering something. Yes, they were both still there, but they didn't seem to bother him at the moment. He looked up at the ceiling. "Can you please make this stop?" he said, his voice cracking a bit unsteadily. "I don't want this. Please." But, if there was anyone listening, they didn't answer. He got up and looked around his room.
