I hope I got the "rules" of magic clear here. Lucas's notion of words - after Selene explained it to her - will be actual, normal, everyday words. Basically, her way of changing reality would be "asking nicely in Portuguese or English" - and through some other weird things like poetry/lyrics as well. NOT that she'll have magic right now - she's powerful enough as is. ;)
