The Bench: Yuki the Assistant Manager

"Well, enjoy your food," Yuki said, before heading off back to the restaurant ordering area. Her shift wasn't over yet, so it was best not to converse with the customers, even ones she didn't know. She had to work hard. Yuki was competing for the assistant manager position that was opening up. She didn't want to serve hot dogs forever, but she needed the money. She turned to the next customer and put on her winning smile. They ordered a beverage and fries, Yuki's hand bumped against theirs as she handed over the soda.
