Athena DeVries Has An Anti-Magic Pendant

Athena DeVries, best friend of the former Zoe Gibson, was a Goth girl who was very interested in the occult and witchcraft. She even had an anti-magic pendant that she wore around her neck. Although, really, she wasn't quite sure whether or not it worked, since she had never come across any magic before. She just wore it as a sort of lucky charm. Better to be safe with it than without it. But today, she actually got to see it fulfill its purpose, as everyone around her was acting weird but no one seemed to think anything was out of the ordinary. Except for her, that was. She was still at home at the time and was completely dumbfounded, watching the person in her kitchen who was wearing the clothes that her mother Gillian usually wore. Except that this person was definitely *not* her mother. In fact, the person wasn't even an adult.
