Zoe and Athena Aren't There

Jon stepped out into the hallway and walked over to his sister's bedroom door. He took a quick breath, then grabbed the doorknob and turned it. A moment later, he was stepping into Zoe's bedroom, only to find out that she wasn't there. And neither was Athena. Where did they go? Were they even in the room in the first place?
