Holding the stone, Karyn made a wish that would change the world. "I wish that the dominant species on this planet would be instead descended from machines...unless Jon and I decide we don't like it..." Jon glared at her. "That's your great wish," he said....A flash emanated from the stone and hung in the air, giving everything a glaring, washed out attenuation to it...The stone blinked.... "Well...it seemed exciting.
