Robert stood up from the sofa. "I don't know who you are, but I've *never* been married." Margaret took a step closer to him. "Sir, this woman is doing something to you. You *have* been married. You *are* married. Right now." Rachel clutched the crystal more. "Of *course* I'm married," Robert said. Margaret felt relieved. She had gotten through to him. "I'm married to Rachel," he said, causing Margaret's heart to sink. He then put his arm around the black woman's back, then pulled her in for an intimate kiss. Angelique just stood there, as if nothing were wrong.
