As Zoe sat down at the table, Jon began to change again. His clothes changed back to Goth, but he remained about 40-years old. He had no idea what kind of justification his mom (err ... his *wife*) could have for marrying him. She didn't even *like* Goths. Zoe was a prime example of *that*. All of this changing was beginning to bother Jon. And he certainly didn't like it when became more than one ideal version of himself. What would happen when he went to school the next day? There was obviously more than just one person there. He'd be a mix of possibly a dozen ideals of himself and changing more often than he was *now*. No, he wasn't going through *that*. He had to get the stone and wish something to fix this. He couldn't reverse what he did, but he could at least modify it. "Uh ... Jane?" he said. Zoe's mom looked up and sighed. "What?" "I need to go get something from upstairs. It'll only take a minute." "Jon. You don't need my permission to go." He got up. "Thanks." His "wife" got an odd look on her face when he thanked her. Maybe in this reality Jon wasn't nice to her? As he walked away from the table, he shook his head. He could think about that later. Right now he had to get his stone.
