Not A Dream

"Zoe? Are you okay? You don't look so well," the woman said, placing her hand on Zoe's forehead. "You're not hot." The woman took a step back and put her hands on her hips. "If you're trying to get out of going to school, it won't work." "Who are you?" Zoe asked. "How did I get here?" The woman looked confused, then immediately turned angry. "Zoe, that's enough. Get ready for school this instant," she ordered, then she turned and left the bedroom. Zoe slowly got out of bed. Everything seemed like a dream, but it didn't *feel* like a dream. It felt real. But how could this be real? Pulling back the black curtains, she looked out her window. She wasn't even in her own neighborhood anymore. None of the other houses looked familiar. Where was she? And what was going on?
