Jon is too easy a target

The blocks flashed and suddenly Jon felt very dizzy. He looked a round. His mother was still half cat. He sighed. It hadn't worked, for some reason. He stood. (when had he fallen?) and straightened his hair. (when had it gotten so long?) "I'm sorry, Jane." he said in a mild soprano. "I don't know why-" He stopped and looked down. "Ah sh-!" "Jon!" interrupted Jane. "That's unladylike!" Jon blushed.
