As we began to struggle to our feet once more (I think I was starting to get better at this, as it seemed to be easier this time around), I suddenly heard Suzie's voice in my head. "Do you hear that?" I asked. Brav looked at me with a confused look. "Hear what?" "David?" Suzie's voice asked. "Where are you? I'm still waiting for you in Epic City. What's taking you so long?" "How are you talking to me?" I asked. "What are you talking about?" Brav asked. "I'm not talking to you," I told Brav. "I'm talking to Suzie." "I used a spell to communicate to you," the voice answered. "Oh. Wait a minute. Did you say that you're in Epic City?" "Yeah." "Then ..." I trailed off, turning towards the little girl in the meadow. She was still giggling at us. If Suzie was in Epic City, then ... who was this little girl?
