"How do I know that you didn't just steal it from him and use it to kill him?" "*Kill* him? I'd never kill anyone," Zoe said. Karyn got up from the table. "When I get that stone back, I'm gonna get Jon back and make sure you'll never be a threat again." Then she walked away. Zoe stood up. "Wait, Karyn. It's me. It really is," she yelled at her. But Karyn wouldn't listen. She *was* starting to like living as a punk Goth, but she didn't want to lose Karyn as a friend. Zoe would have to *make* Karyn believe. And the only way to do that was to use the stone, which she had in her locker.
