The Cloud: A Familiar Face

Right around this time, Jon was discovering that something had happened to Lake Point overnight. Even though his neighborhood hadn't changed (yet, as the cloud wasn't finished), it was clear that other neighborhoods had. His morning had been rather average...other than his mother complaining that her favorite radio station was playing the wrong genre of music. He left the house, and heading toward school on foot, set to meet up with Karyn on the way, like he always did. Except, a few blocks from his house...he suddenly found himself lost, as if he'd taken a wrong turn and ended up somewhere downtown. He tried to get his bearings, turning around and taking in the short apartment building in front of him, the shops across the street...nothing familiar. Finally, he looked up at the sky....trying to figure out which way was east by the sun. "Hey, watch where you're going," a voice said...it sounded familiar. He looked back down to see...
