Interesting. I didn't notice the vengeance part at first due to it being subtle, but it *was* a **very** good chapter. :) However, Lucas is *already* a vengeful person (hence her tossing those items at the base), even though she does other stuff besides the revenge. I'm hoping not to change my character's mind too much, too. The previous idea I discussed wasn't so much about vengeance as it was about a willingness to do *anything* to reach certain goals. However... You did give me an idea. While *exposure* to certainty/uncertainty won't do Lucas anything, *direct attacks* are another story. I will do a follow-up later, but suffice to say it'll owe a lot to your idea, it'll be a nice scene and you may get a goodly amount of the credit for it if you like it. :)
