A Whole New World

Jon whimpered slightly, despite the soothing petting by Sydney. He couldn't see anything very clearly, and...what was that smell? All those smells. He sniffed Sydney, smelling her, the scent filling his nostrils. She smelled of soap. He began to walk around the room, smelling things, before returning to Sydney to smell her again. He'd completely forgotten about the problems with his sight. He was 'seeing' by scent, and was 'seeing' more than he'd ever seen before.
