Jeffery's partner was late getting back from the crime seen. He was acting a bit strange. He seemed to be having some problems finding his desk. "Hey, are you all right Cash" Gould asked. "Just fine, anything new on the Verdoun case," was the reply. "I not sure but there is something weird going on," said Gould. "How so," replied his partner. Gould explained the strange string of murders. His partner congratulated him on his fine police work and said I think there is something you missed at the crime seen. "What did you find?" Gould asked. "I think you should go back out there. It is something that has to be seen to be believed," his partner responded. Just then Register's beeper went off. It was a new beeper that Jeffery had never seen before. Register said he was heading south and left. Jeffery was puzzled by his partner's behavior. Worse though was the fact he was stuck with the paperwork.
