Cash called Gould and told him about the conversation with Mrs. Simmons. Cash also gave him the motel that Weed had booked rooms. They also talked about train schedules. It was three in the morning when Agent Stewart woke Gould from his nap on a waiting room chair. They discussed the particulars of the case. Gould asked about the Federal Involvement. Stewart was at first evasive so Gould asked about the string of murders leading up to his case. Stewart was impressed and explained that he was with a small interagency task force that was tracking what they called the Domino Murders. Gould asked if they had any theories. Stewart complained they had too many theories and no hard evidence of any one. The CDC was looking for a virus. The CIA was looking at some form of mind control. The DEA was looking for a designer drug. The INS was looking for a Canadian. The RCMP was looking for an invisible man. The FBI had a guy in the basement who can't decide weather it was space aliens or demonic possession. In short they didn't know squat. Finally Agent Stewart asked," What kind of theory do you have Officer Gould?" "I think what we have in that hospital room is the first survivor of our killer My best guess says that our killer stayed on that train. As to who or what our killer is, I will leave that one alone for awhile. On the other hand, if you get the urge to kill our patient and wander off to get killed, you will blow my theory," Gould said. "I will try not to," laughed Stewart. Suddenly serious Stewart asked, "if he is still on the train were is he? "One of the stops between here and Savannah," Gould answered. "Why Savannah?" Stewart asked. "Because Mrs. Simmons said that Mr. Simmons was going there so if our killer is now Mr. Simmons he has a ticket to Savannah." Gould explained. "OK, who the hell is Simmons," Said the frustrated FBI agent. "A survivor, and the person the man in that room claims to be. Everyone thought he was raving I had his story checked out," Gould said enjoying the Feds discomfort. "What are you saying, that our prep is some sort of body thief?" Stewart asked. "I don't know, but one of the stops that train makes is D.C." Gould said.
